When I was younger, without a house,  one paycheck and only one w2, my taxes were easy.  I could fill and file my own taxes.  Now that I am older, I have a house, saving account, money market account with lots of stock buys and sells, kids and a wife.

Now I don't even attempt to do my own taxes.  However finding a good CPA to do your taxes is a must.  I had a guy do my taxes that didn't do them right.  When I called to have him fix them, he never returned my call.

Make sure you CPA is certified and experienced like David S Tostrud of La Crosse Wisconsin.  He does tax returns for individuals and corporations.

If you accountant doesn't fix his errors, move on to someone else like David.  He will do your taxes right the first time.  I now have to go back and redo a few years of my taxes.  That is not fun or cheap.
